OUR TEAM

  • Ben Brewster

    PREACHING MINISTER

Ben has served at Airline more than twenty years through preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. He believes that Airline is truly an oasis in a divided world.

Ben is a grateful follower of Jesus whose greatest claims to fame are that he is the husband of Mendy, the father of Hannah, Drew and Angela, father-in-law of Zach, and “Pops” to his granddaughter, Charlotte. He holds degrees from Ohio Valley University, Oklahoma Christian University, and Cincinnati Christian University.

In 2006, Ben's book, Torn Asunder: The Civil War and the 1906 Division of the Disciples was published by College Press Publishing Company.

  • John Dollar

    OUTREACH MINISTER

John’s passion for youth brought him to Airline in April of 2012. He served as youth minister from 2012 to the beginning of 2023 before transitioning to the role of outreach minister.

John loves Shreveport-Bossier and is passionate about serving the local community and spreading the Gospel. He has been married to wife Kathleen for more than 15 years. They have three sons: Avery, Elijah, and Noah.

A Louisiana native, John is originally from Minden, Louisiana.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and studied ministry at Abilene Christian University, receiving a certification in Biblical studies from the Center, an offshoot of ACU.

  • Dona Crawford

    CHILDREN’S MINISTER

Dona and her husband, Carl, have used their gifts to serve Airline for more than 20 years. In February of 2023, Dona stepped into leading the children’s ministry. She and Carl have eight children and three grandchildren.

Since arriving at Airline, Dona considers the people at Airline family––a village and community we all long for.

Dona believes children’s ministry is vital for families. She firmly believes in the importance of establishing a firm foundation to help our children’s faith as they grow into adults, and she sees children as the Church’s future who will carry the faith to the next generation.

  • Tom Edwards

    FACILITIES MANAGER

After working in the oil and gas industry for several years, Tom felt led to fill the facilities manager position at Airline. Tom also serves our church family as one of our elders.

Tom was first introduced to Airline as a teenager by his aunt. Now, he and wife, Tammy, their two daughters, and their great niece all love being part of the Airline family.

While this position comes with many challenges, Tom considers it full of great joys, opportunities to form relationships and hone new skills, and the chance to be part of a staff who loves Christ.
